The Atlantis- MILMI Program

An international Dual Masters Degree
in the interdisciplinary field of Lasers, Photonics and Material Science

A consortium of four institutions, the Physics and Chemistry departments (University of Bordeaux, France), the Friedrich Schiller University (Jena, Germany), the CREOL (UCF, Florida) and the School of Material Science & Engineering (Clemson University, South Carolina) are offering every year twelve scholarships to allow students to take courses and perform research at institutions across the Atlantic.

The REU Program

Research Experiences for Undergraduates in Lasers, Optics and Optical Materials

CREOL, The College of Optics & Photonics is pleased to announce that he will run the 17th National Science Foundation sponsored program of Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) during the summer of 2010.

The students selected for this program will have the opportunity to perform research projects alongside some of the world's foremost laser & optics researchers.

The Fraunhofer Townes Collaboration

Research and academic collaboration between the Townes Laser Institute, UCF and the Fraunhofer Institute for Laser Technology, RWTH Aachen University (Germany).

Under this collaboration agreement a joint research program in the fields of laser development, material processing, novel system technology, and life sciences is being created, including the exchange of scientist and students.
